The Fishing Tournament had the largest number of fishing boats entered in the history of the Regatta. Out of the 47 entries, only 14 weighed fish. The weather was calm and sweltering. 1st. Place: $1,000 prize: Paige II Team, Craig Paige, Captain with a 10lb, 4 1/2oz. 2nd. Place: $600 prize: Hooked Up Team, Louis Glazer, Captain with a 6lb, 13 oz. 3rd. Place: $400 prize: Key Dreams Team, Bill Keys, Captain with 6lb, 11oz. Jr. Angler Award: Curt Gibbs, 5lb, 3oz. Club Challenge Trophy went to Paige II Team, Great Bridge Fishing Club. A special thanks to Lucian Montagna, Dr. "Ike" and the members of the Norfolk Anglers Club |
